Three habits every guide relies on
Check the address before you type
Whatever you are doing, look at the browser’s address bar first. A page can be copied pixel for pixel; the characters in the address bar cannot be.
Never hand over a password or a code
No legitimate support team asks a user for a password or a one-time code. If somebody does, that is the whole answer — it is a scam.
Keep your own record
Screenshot a transaction or an error message, and note the time. Your own record is the one piece of evidence you control, and it makes explaining a problem to support far quicker.
